  By Q News Citizens of the triad who financially struggle on a day-to-day basis will now have 16 affordable living options in the heart of Greensboro.  Oakwood Park, a two-story development located at 2943 W. Vandalia Road, will have a combination of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments for homeless households in high demand of temporary shelter.  The amount of people experiencing unsheltered homelessness is increasing in the state of North Carolina.  According to North Carolina Housing Coalition, between the years of 2020 and 2022, the number of homeless North Carolina citizens drastically rose from 2,558 to 3,625.  Data from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) shows the PIT record in January 2020 recorded a total of 504 homeless people in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County CoC and 624 homeless people in the Greensboro/High Point CoC.  This past December, the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency awarded Greensboro's Affordable Hou...
